Car Financing in Alberta

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

A car meanwhile

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

The short answer for Alberta

Alberta is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. Measured in a straight line, Alberta is about 1,340 km from our location in Toronto; we deliver within about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Tell us what you need in Alberta, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

Make a request

Tell us the car you are considering, and we will help where we can.
