Buying a car in Beard

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

Questions to ask

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Before your next car arrives

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

Toronto based

There is no CarmaCars office, lot or branch in Beard. With Beard about 637 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Tell us what you need in Beard, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
