Buying a car in Burntside

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

What to check before you buy

Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

Between cars

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

Our area and Burntside

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Burntside. About 1,082 km from our location in Toronto, Burntside is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. For buying in Burntside, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Tell us what you need in Burntside, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
