Buying a car in Foxfire

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Questions to ask

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches.

Between cars

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.
