Shopping for a car in Summit

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car?

A buyer's checklist

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

A car meanwhile

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Before you plan

Shopping in Summit? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. A request about Summit gets an honest answer from a person. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
