Buying a car in Cheapside

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. A rental of the same model for a week shows how it fits your commute, your parking and your family. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it.

Drive it like you own it

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Questions to ask

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

While you shop

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Renting from Toronto

Cheapside is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. Cheapside is about 780 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 250 km we deliver to.

For buying in Cheapside, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Shopping in Cheapside? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here.
