Buying a car in Devonshire

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. A rental of the same model for a week shows how it fits your commute, your parking and your family. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.

Rent it before you buy it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

Questions to ask

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Before your next car arrives

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
