Buying a car in Plainview

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Questions to ask

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

Bridging the gap

There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.

A note on distance
