Buying a car in Ruby

If you are looking for a car to buy, the honest answer first: CarmaCars does not offer it, but a rental can help along the way. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

A test drive that lasts

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.

Questions to ask

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

While you shop

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.

About distance

Everything CarmaCars does starts from Toronto, and we have no presence in Ruby. From our location in Toronto, Ruby is about 2,375 km away in a straight line; we deliver within about 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you want to check something for Ruby, send a request; a person replies honestly. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
