Thinking of buying the 2019 Honda Civic LX?

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell the 2019 Honda Civic LX; this page helps you judge it before you buy one elsewhere. Before you buy the 2019 Honda Civic LX, see the figures and the checks worth doing.

Before you sign for the Civic

Owners filed 455 complaints with NHTSA, most often about steering, fuel/propulsion system and fuel system; have those parts checked. Ask the seller for the service records of this exact car. A private seller in Ontario must give you a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check whether every recall was done, by the VIN, before you pay.

    Under the hood

Power comes from the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through an automatic (CVT). It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

At 6.9 L/100 km combined, a 300 km drive takes roughly 21 litres of fuel. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $32.10 at our price setting. EPA puts its fuel cost at US$1,960 a year for 15,000 miles at US prices.

    Who it is for

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

    Size and space

As a compact car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. In plain terms, its 736 litres of luggage space hold bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Drive it on your own roads

Rent the Civic for a week and see how it fits your life. If it is in our fleet, rent it; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. If the Civic is in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car helps you judge.

    Year and trim

Compare the LX with the other trims of the same year before you decide. If you are unsure between two options, rent one of them for a week first. A newer year is not always better; check what changed before paying more for it.

    The cost of driving it

At our price setting, 100 km costs about $10.70 in fuel. A 1,000 km month costs roughly $107 at our price setting. Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models.

    Farmbrook and the Civic

CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 509 km from Farmbrook, and does not deliver there. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Farmbrook starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.
