Buying the 2019 Toyota Corolla CE
We are a rental company, not a dealer, so there is no 2019 Toyota Corolla CE for sale by us right now. Buying the 2019 Toyota Corolla CE is a big decision; here is the information we have.
A buyer's checks
Check whether every recall was done, by the VIN, before you pay. Ask the seller for the service records of this exact car. A pre-purchase inspection at a shop you choose is money well spent. A private seller in Ontario must give you a Used Vehicle Information Package.
What the figures tell you
Power: the 2.0L 4-cylinder; drive: front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.
Fuel use is rated 6.6 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 20 litres. At our price setting, it costs about $10.23 to drive 100 km. At US fuel prices, the EPA estimates US$1,850 a year for 15,000 miles.
Practical details
As a mid-size car, it is easy to drive and park in the city. Its 510 litre trunk is enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.
Who it is for
It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Rent it for a week first
If the Corolla is in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car helps you judge. Renting first costs a fraction of the price of buying the wrong car. Rent the Corolla first, and buy only if it fits your life.
The cost of driving it
The EPA estimates US$1,850 a year in fuel for 15,000 miles at US prices. Tires, brakes and batteries are the regular costs to budget for beyond fuel. Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models.
Which one to look for
Write down the VIN of any car you consider; it unlocks the recall and service history. Set a budget that includes tax, licensing, insurance and the first set of tires. If you are unsure between two options, rent one of them for a week first.
Yameri and the Corolla
We have no location in Yameri; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 3,364 km away. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Yameri starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.
