Trade In: what CarmaCars does

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells.

Try it for a week first

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

What to check before you buy

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Bridging the gap

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Our area, and Dextra

We are based in Toronto; Dextra is not somewhere we have a location. Measured in a straight line, Dextra is about 1,892 km from central Toronto; we deliver within about 80 km.

Shopping in Dextra? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. For buying in Dextra, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. For anything about Dextra, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
