Typical renters

People with family in town who need a second car for a while. Anyone who needs a car for a few days without owning one.

Requesting a car

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

The rules, briefly

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.
