Car Hire in Java, explained

CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area. This page explains what that means if you need a rental car in Java. Good to know: Car hire with CarmaCars works by request: you choose the car and dates, and we confirm the full price before you pay. There is no instant booking: every request is read by a person.

What CarmaCars covers

Java is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. The straight-line distance from central Toronto to Java is about 1,459 km, and we deliver within about 80 km.

Heading to Java by plane? A car from us can get you to Toronto Pearson, or meet you there when you return. Tell us in your request that you plan to drive outside Ontario; it needs our written consent. If you are unsure whether we can help with Java, ask; we answer plainly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.

Who it is for

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

The useful parts

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Questions are answered by people who know the cars. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar".

Booking with CarmaCars

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. Our team answers with an offer: the confirmed car, the dates and the full price. The booking is confirmed when you approve the offer and pay it.

Each car page lists what is included and what costs extra. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. A pickup can be as soon as 2 hours after your request, when the car is free.

Driver requirements

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
