Who rents this way

People with family in town who need a second car for a while. People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice.

The useful parts

Each new agreement keeps the same simple terms as the first. A trip of 7 days or more never costs more than the car's monthly rate for up to 365 days. The same team handles your request, your handover and your questions. Questions are answered by people who know the cars.

Your request, our offer, your keys

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. The minimum notice is 2 hours, so an afternoon pickup can be requested in the morning.

Licence, age and card

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
