The details that matter

If the claim is not approved, the car's usual rate applies, shown on its page. After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental when your adjuster approves it. Otherwise the car's own rate applies. Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree.

Who can rent

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

Requesting a car

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.
