The details that matter

After a collision, your insurer may pay for the rental when your adjuster approves it. Otherwise the car's own rate applies. If the claim is not approved, the car's usual rate applies, shown on its page. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser. Your bookings, receipts and agreements are in your account.

Good fits

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. People with family in town who need a second car for a while.

The steps

It begins with your request, sent online in a few minutes, with no payment. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.

What to have ready

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. Expect a deposit before every rental; its amount is set by the car. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
