Common reasons to rent

People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

Why this works

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. The offer is in writing, so you can check it before you agree. If the car you want is taken, we suggest the closest match we have.

Getting the car booked

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. Then we send an offer. The offer shows the price before 13% HST and the deposit. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

Open a car to see its photos, rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

What to bring

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. Your deposit is held about 1 hour ahead of pickup and released after the return. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.
