Ideas for the car

Try Tobermory, about 300 km from Toronto, for the Bruce Peninsula and its clear water. Algonquin Park, about 270 km by road, suits a longer day out for lakes, trails and fall colours. Plan the round trip against your total allowance, the daily kilometres times the days. Trips into the United States need our written consent before you go.

The rules, briefly

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is released after the return, once the car is checked. Every renter goes through the same check of licence and identity before the car is confirmed.

How it works

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Each car's calendar shows the days it is already booked. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.
