Typical renters

Drivers who want to try a different kind of car for a week. Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own.

Before you rent

You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

Booking with CarmaCars

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
