Car Rental in Markham

Cars for Markham

Renting in Markham with CarmaCars is simple: a request, an offer, and a car handed to you in person. Good to know: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Our team reads every request; there is no automatic booking.

Typical renters

Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

The area around Markham

If you are near Markham, Ringwood, Stouffville and Bethesda are close too.

Flying? Toronto/Buttonville Municipal Airport is the nearest airport, about 8 km from Markham. In winter, ask for winter tires: they are an add-on on the cars that offer them.

What makes this simple

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Delivery is priced in your offer before you pay anything. There is no app to install: everything works in your browser.

Drives worth the kilometres

For cottage country and the lakes around Gravenhurst, Muskoka is about 170 km away by road. Another idea: Sandbanks Provincial Park, around 230 km, for dunes and beaches in Prince Edward County. Each car's page tells you how many kilometres a day are included. If the plan includes a border crossing, ask in your request: it needs our written consent.

Handover options

Delivery reaches Markham: the straight-line distance from central Toronto is about 26 km. Your offer shows the delivery fee for your address and your car.

Or pick it up from us; that costs nothing. A person meets you with the car, checks your licence and card, and does the walkaround with you. We can bring the car to Toronto Pearson International Airport and Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, priced in your offer.

Renting: the basics

At pickup you must be 18 or older and carry your original G2 or G licence. Age fees stop at 26: younger drivers pay a daily young driver fee. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Third-party liability comes with every rate. For the car itself: your own policy with OPCF 27, a card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

Booking with CarmaCars

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Need it longer than 365 days? Renew with a new agreement when the booking ends. At least 2 hours must separate the request from the pickup.

Over to you

Ask for the car, read the offer, approve it if it suits you.
