Renting with CarmaCars in Montecito

Searching for car rental in Montecito? Here is the honest picture from CarmaCars, a Toronto rental company. One thing to know: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. The deposit is never taken at booking, only shortly before pickup.

Where we are

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Montecito. With Montecito about 3,445 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

For Montecito itself, look for a local rental company; for the Toronto end of the trip, we can help. Our cars can leave Ontario only with written consent from us, arranged before the trip. Send a request with what you need in Montecito, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.

Reasons people rent from us

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Questions are answered by people who know the cars. Requests are read in order and answered by a person.

Who this suits

People whose car is in the shop, people visiting family, and people trying a model before they buy. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

Who qualifies

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

Third-party liability is in the rate; for the car, bring OPCF 27, use your card's benefit, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Before confirming, we verify the licence and identity of each driver.

Getting the car booked

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. You pay when you approve, and only then.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

One more step

Questions, dates or both: put them in a request and we answer.
