Why CarmaCars

Common reasons to rent

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

Your booking, in three steps

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. You get an offer that says exactly what the rental costs before tax. You pay when you approve, and only then.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Who can rent

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. A quick licence and identity check happens before we confirm any booking.
