Car Rental in Shepard, SC

Your car in Shepard

This page is for Shepard, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. Here is the short version: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. All prices are before tax; the offer shows the total.

Reach and distance

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Shepard is outside our area. Our deliveries stop at about 250 km from Toronto; Shepard is roughly 1,055 km away.

If your trip to Shepard starts in Toronto, a car from us can cover the Toronto part of it. Taking a car out of Ontario needs our written consent before the trip, so ask in your request. Tell us what you need in Shepard, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

The details that matter

Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. You deal with a small team that answers the phone and reads every request. You can rent again later with the same account and details. Rates are set per car, so you can choose by budget.

Know the area

If you are near Shepard, Hyco, Shamokin and Lafayette Village are close too.

The nearest airport is Hartsville Regional Airport (HVS), about 40 km away.

Typical renters

Locals who do not keep a car in the city but need one now and then. Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while.

What to have ready

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

Booking, step by step

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. We confirm the details and send an offer. It lists the rental, any delivery and any add-ons. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Every car has its own daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rate. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Ready to ask?

Request a car, read the offer, and decide. That is the whole process.
