Why CarmaCars

Whatever the reason for the rental, the steps are the same. You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. You choose the exact car, not a category with "or similar". Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too.

Common reasons to rent

Visitors, locals between cars, families on a trip and people who need a second car for a while. People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice.

Renting: the basics

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Each renter is checked the same way, before the booking is confirmed.

How it works

Choose the car and your times, then send a request. A request does not hold the car, and it costs nothing. We look at the request and send back an offer with the price for your exact dates. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. The shortest notice we accept before a pickup is 2 hours.

Send a request

Tell us your dates and where you want the car, and we will do the rest.
