A note on Hackett

Hackett is about 1,311 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Hackett.

Close by are Wheelers Point, Pitt and Graceton, each with its own page.

Engine and fuel

The engine is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 25 litres, from its 8.3 L/100 km rating. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $128.70.

Who rents the A4

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

What the A4 is like

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. Luggage space is rated at 340 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

How renting with us works

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Requests need at least 2 hours of notice before the pickup time.

Renting: the basics

Renters must be at least 18 and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26? You can rent, with a daily young driver fee shown on the car's page. We check that the card and the licence carry the same name.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. The deposit is separate from the rental price and is returned after the rental. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
