Hackett and the A4

We have no location in Hackett; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,311 km away. If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Hackett.

Next door to Hackett are Wheelers Point, Pitt and Graceton.

Under the hood

The powertrain to know here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, with all-wheel drive. It is a hybrid: the battery charges itself as you drive and brake, so there is nothing to plug in. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 25 litres, from its 8.3 L/100 km rating. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $12.87 at our price setting.

Is it right for your trip?

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends.

The A4 in everyday use

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. EPA lists 340 litres of luggage space, enough for about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

Renting this car

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Driver requirements

We need every driver to be at least 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence. A young driver fee applies each day for drivers under 26. The card you pay with must be yours, and you bring it to the handover.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

The steps

You ask for the car you want for the dates you need. The request itself is free. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Short trips and long stays use the same request; the rate follows the length. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
