Power comes from the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo hybrid, driving through a 7-speed automatic. As a hybrid, it does best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work. All-wheel drive helps when pulling away on snow; braking and steering still depend on the tires.

Renting: the basics

Our minimum age is 18; an Ontario G2 or G licence is required. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.
