Java and the Silverado

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are close to Java, you may also be near Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

About the colour

If you want it in brown, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates. Colour is confirmed in your offer, never before. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for brown in your request.

Engine and fuel

Power comes from the 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo, driving through a 10-speed automatic. It runs on diesel, sold at most highway stations. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

The combined figure, 8.8 L/100 km, means roughly 26 litres for 300 km. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $40.92 at our price setting.

Inside and out

As a pickup truck, it has an open bed for things that would never fit in a trunk.

Best uses

It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a stretch of weeks between selling one car and buying the next.

Our Silverado cars

Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below.

Rules for renters

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Young drivers are welcome: a daily fee applies under 26. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

Third-party liability is included in the rate. For damage to the car, you choose one of three options before pickup. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

What to expect when you book

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. If the car is free, you get an offer with the full price; if not, we suggest another car. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. Stay as long as you need: up to 365 days a booking, then renew. Last-minute plans are fine with at least 2 hours of notice.
