Colour notes

The studio image shows the Escape in white; photos of each real car are on its page. Tell us if white is a must or a preference, and we look accordingly. If white matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates.

What the specs mean

The powertrain here is the 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Its combined rating is 7.9 L/100 km, which means roughly 24 litres for 300 km. In energy, every 100 km costs about $12.25 at our price setting.

Space and size

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

When the Escape makes sense

It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting the Escape from CarmaCars

We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

What happens when you ask for a car

Start with a request. Choose the car, the pickup time and the return time, and send it without paying anything. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Renting: the basics

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. A card in the driver's own name is required at the handover.

You pick how damage to the car is handled before pickup: OPCF 27, a credit card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held before each rental; the amount is on the car's page. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
