The 2021 Ford Explorer Timberline, briefly

The Timberline is trim 5 of 6 in the Canadian lineup of the 2021 Ford Explorer. Here is the 2021 Ford Explorer Timberline: the numbers, what they mean, and who it suits.

The Explorer and Freestone

Places around Freestone include Occidental, Bodega and Valley Ford.

Engine and fuel

The 2.3L 4-cylinder turbo, paired with a 10-speed automatic, drives it. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Four-wheel drive helps on rough ground and deep snow; on dry roads it behaves like any other vehicle.

Combined fuel use is 11.4 L/100 km: about 34 litres for 300 km. That works out to about $17.67 per 100 km at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.

How big it is

The higher seat of a full-size SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic.

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.

How it works

You begin by requesting a car for your dates; the request is free. We review it and reply with an offer that shows the whole price, delivery included when you asked for it. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Rules for renters

We rent to drivers aged 18 and up who hold an Ontario G2 or G licence. If any driver is under 26, a young driver fee is added for each day. Debit works on cars marked "no credit card needed"; the others take a credit card.

If you have no auto policy and no card benefit, the CarmaCars Protection Plan is the third option, priced in your offer. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.
