Specs, explained

Power comes from the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo, driving through an automatic (CVT). The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

A combined rating of 6.7 L/100 km works out to about 20 litres per 300 km. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $10.39 at our price setting.

When the Civic makes sense

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month.

The Civic in everyday use

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. The trunk holds 425 litres by the EPA's count: a family's bags for a long weekend.

Rent it from us

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. This exact car is not in our fleet at the moment; a request asks us to look for one. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

The rules, briefly

Drivers 18 and older can rent with a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. The checks are the same for everyone: licence, identity and the agreement.

What to expect when you book

To book, you request the car for your dates. There is no charge to send it and no obligation. The reply is an offer you can read in full before you decide anything. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. With 2 hours of notice or more, a same-day pickup can work when the car is free.

Over to you

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
