Renting for Java

Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

About the colour

A red car can be requested, but never promised before we confirm. The studio image shows the Civic in red; photos of each real car are on its page. Ask for red in your request; the offer confirms the colour of the car.

What the figures tell you

The powertrain to know here is the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbo, with front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Plan on about 21 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 6.9 L/100 km. That works out to about $10.70 per 100 km at our price setting.

Space, size and seats

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. EPA lists 736 litres of luggage space, enough for bulky luggage, a stroller or sports gear.

Who the Civic suits

It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

Ask for your dates, and we reply with what we can offer. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

How booking works

You start by asking: a car, a start time, an end time. Asking is free. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Nothing is charged until you approve it and pay.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Before you rent

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Liability to other people is included in every rate. For the car itself, pick your own policy (OPCF 27), a card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit comes about 1 hour before you get the car, not at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.

Over to you
