The Pilot and Java

Next door to Java are Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

Colour notes

If silver matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for silver in your request. We cannot promise a colour until we confirm; ask for silver and we try.

Under the hood

The 3.5L 6-cylinder, paired with a 9-speed automatic, drives it. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Fuel use is rated 10.4 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 31 litres. A 300 km round trip costs roughly $48.36 at our price setting.

Who the Pilot suits

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

Space, size and seats

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Rent it from us

We have none on the site right now. Send a request for this exact car and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer.

What to have ready

From age 18, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can send a request. From 26, no age fee applies; below it, a daily young driver fee does. You show your original licence and your card when we hand you the keys.

Before pickup, choose how damage to the car is handled: your auto policy (OPCF 27), your credit card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We check every driver; it takes a few minutes and protects everyone.

The booking steps

Your part at the start is short: choose a car and dates and send a free request. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

The calendar on each car's page helps you pick dates that work. Book by the week from 7 days, or by the month up to 365 days. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

Next step

The next step is yours: send a request whenever you are ready.
