The 2012 Maybach 62 at a glance

The 2012 Maybach 62 at a glance, then the details.

Reading the spec sheet

The 5.5L 12-cylinder turbo with rear-wheel drive is the powertrain to look at. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference. The automatic gearbox makes city traffic easy.

A combined rating of 19.3 L/100 km works out to about 58 litres per 300 km. In the city it is rated at 22.8 L/100 km, and on the highway 14.9. A weekend of 300 km comes to about $101.34 at our price setting. We count premium at $1.75 a litre for the cost figures on this page.

How far it goes

Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies. For a trip out of Ontario, ask first: it needs our written consent. Plan longer trips against the kilometres included each day.

How big it is

Being a large sedan, it is easy to park and comfortable on longer drives. The EPA measures its luggage space at 425 litres, roughly a family's bags for a long weekend.

Who the 62 suits

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town.

Renting this car

Your request can name this exact car; the offer confirms what we can give you. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Meanwhile, 6 similar cars are listed below. We hand every car over in person, at your address or at our location.

Before you rent

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. The young driver fee covers drivers under 26; older drivers pay no age fee. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. We take the deposit shortly before pickup and return it after the car comes back. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.

Booking in plain terms

Requests are free: choose a car, add your dates, and send it. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Your card is charged only when you approve the offer.

Each car has its own page with its photos, its rates and its calendar. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.
