The 2011 Mazda 2: an overview
This is the 2011 Mazda 2: how it was powered, what it uses and which trims were sold in Canada.
Specs, explained
Its 1.5L 4-cylinder drives through a 5-speed manual. It runs on regular gas. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow. It has a manual gearbox, so you need to be comfortable with a clutch.
Plan on about 23 litres per 300 km; the combined rating is 7.6 L/100 km. The split is 8.1 L/100 km in town and 6.9 on the highway. Per 100 km, plan on roughly $11.78.
Out of town
Each car shows the kilometres included each day and the rate for extra ones. Trips outside Ontario need our written consent, agreed before you go. Return the car with the fuel it had at pickup, or a fee applies.
What the 2 is like
Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Luggage space is rated at 368 litres: about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.
Good uses for the 2
It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy. It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else.

What we ask of drivers
You must be 18 or older and hold a valid Ontario G2 or G licence. Under 26, a young driver fee applies for each day of the rental. At the handover we check your licence and the card in your name.
Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. We verify licences and identity for every renter, with no exceptions.
What happens when you ask for a car
Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.
The car pages show each car's rates, deposit and kilometres included. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
