Colour notes

Want orange? Put it in the request. Our orange cars of this kind are listed first, when we have one. If orange matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates.

What the specs mean

The powertrain here is the 2.0L 4-cylinder with rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed automatic. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Rear-wheel drive gives balanced handling; in winter, the tires make the biggest difference.

For 300 km of mixed driving, expect about 23 litres, from its 7.8 L/100 km rating. Expect about $13.65 per 100 km at our price setting.

Good uses for the MX-5

It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one. It suits someone whose own car is in the shop for a while.

Living with the MX-5

As a two-seat sports car, it puts the driving first and the luggage second.

Renting it

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Getting the car booked

A booking with us starts as a request that you send without paying. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Payment happens only after you accept the offer.

Every car on the site has a page of its own, with its calendar and its rates. Bookings run from one day up to 365 days at a time. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.

What we ask of drivers

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. We accept young drivers; those under 26 pay a daily fee. At pickup, have your original licence and the payment card ready.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

Talk to a person

A request costs nothing, and the offer tells you everything.
