The steps

Requests come first at CarmaCars. You name the car and the dates, and we take it from there. A staff member reads the request and sends the offer. We reply within 2 hours. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

You can check any car's calendar before you send a request. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.

Who qualifies

You need to be 18 or older at pickup, with an Ontario G2 or G licence valid for the whole rental. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Liability to others is in the rate. Damage to the car is handled by your policy (OPCF 27), your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan, priced in your offer. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.
