If silver matters for an event, say so and we look for one for your dates. In silver, the Model 3 looks like the studio image; real photos are on each car's page. We cannot promise a colour until we confirm; ask for silver and we try.

Specs, explained

It is powered by the electric motor, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Its rating is 15.6 kWh/100 km: about 47 kWh for 300 km. On paper it goes 568 km between charges, less in winter. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $23.40.

Size and space

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. Its 425 litres of luggage space fit a family's bags for a long weekend.

A good match for

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

How booking works

First you send a request with the car and the times. No card is charged for it. We send the offer to your account and your email, with the total shown. You have 24 hours to approve an offer, and payment comes with your approval.

Every car lists its own deposit and the kilometres included each day. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Rules for renters

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. A credit card in your name is needed, except on cars marked "no credit card needed", which take debit.

For damage to the car itself, have your own policy (OPCF 27), a credit card with rental car coverage, or add the CarmaCars Protection Plan. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Additional drivers can be added; each one meets the same rules and signs the agreement.
