Choosing a colour

A blue car can be requested, but never promised before we confirm. A colour can never be promised before we confirm; ask for blue in your request. The colour is part of what we confirm in the offer.

What the figures tell you

The electric motor, paired with a 1-speed automatic, drives it. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

Energy use is rated at 18.6 kWh/100 km, about 56 kWh for 300 km. Rated range: 507 km. Winter and highway speeds bring it down. Expect about $2.79 per 100 km at our price setting.

Who rents the Model 3

It suits commuters, couples and business trips. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.

The Model 3 in everyday use

As a mid-size car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight. Luggage space is 425 litres, enough for a family's bags for a long weekend.

Can you rent one?

Want a car for specific dates? Put them in the request and we check. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

Requesting a car

Send the request with your dates first; no money changes hands at that stage. Someone on our team confirms the car is free for those dates and sends you an offer with every charge listed. Say yes to the offer and pay; that is when the booking is made.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. Rent for a day, a week or up to 365 days in one booking. A request can be for today, as long as the pickup is at least 2 hours away.

Who qualifies

Drivers need to be 18 or over, holding an Ontario G2 or G licence for the whole rental. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. The name on the card has to match the name on the licence.

You need one of three things in place for damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your own policy, a credit card that covers rentals, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken shortly before pickup, and the balance comes back after the return. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.

When you know your dates

The quickest way to a price is a request with your dates. It costs nothing.
