A note on Java

We have no location in Java; CarmaCars rents from Toronto, about 1,474 km away. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

New Hope, Roeton and Frisco are the neighbouring places on our list.

About the colour

A silver car can be requested, but never promised before we confirm. If you want it in silver, say so in your request and we look for one for your dates. In silver, the Model 3 looks like the studio image; real photos are on each car's page.

Under the hood

The electric motor is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. Being electric, it is quiet and quick from a stop, and it charges at home, at work or at public chargers. With all-wheel drive, it pulls away more surely on slippery roads, though it does not stop any shorter.

It uses 18.6 kWh per 100 km, so 300 km takes about 56 kWh of charge. A full charge is rated for 507 km; plan for less in the cold. At our price setting, it costs about $2.79 to drive 100 km.

Who it is for

It suits client visits, weddings and special weekends. Its all-wheel drive suits winter roads and trips to ski country.

Inside and out

A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway. With 425 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes a family's bags for a long weekend.

Our Model 3 cars

Similar cars are listed below if you need one now. Ask for this exact car in your request, and we tell you what we can offer. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates.

The steps

Pick the car and the dates that suit you, then send a request. There is no payment at that point. We reply with an offer for the car and the dates, priced in full. You decide: approve and pay, or let it go. No charge either way until you approve.

Rates are set car by car and shown on each car's page. From one day to 365, a single booking covers it. Allow 2 hours or more between your request and the pickup time.

Licence, age and card

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more are the starting point. If you are under 26, expect a young driver fee each day; there is no upper age limit. Your original licence, not a photo, comes with you to the handover.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is one of three options for damage to the car; the others are OPCF 27 on your policy or a card with rental car benefits. There is a deposit for each rental, taken shortly before pickup rather than at booking. Each driver named on the booking signs the rental agreement.
