Reading the spec sheet

Before you rent

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. The daily young driver fee is shown on each car's page, for drivers under 26. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. A deposit is held for every rental, about 1 hour before you get the car. Extra drivers are welcome; each one is checked and signs the agreement.

Nothing to pay up front: the first step is simply a request. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. When you approve the offer and pay, the car is booked for you.
