Driver basics

Ontario G2 or G licence holders aged 18 and up can request a car. Young drivers, under 26, can rent too, with a fee for each day. The card must be in the driver's name, and we check it with the licence in person.

Three options cover damage to the car: OPCF 27 on your auto policy, a credit card with rental car benefits, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. We confirm each driver's licence and identity the same way.

What happens when you ask for a car

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. A person replies with an offer priced for your dates, not an estimate. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

Each car shows its own extra kilometre rate, so nothing surprises you later. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Same-day requests are fine with at least 2 hours of notice, when the car is free.
