Car Buffing: what is involved

Our shop work happens in the Toronto area. We have no location in Boulder. In plain terms: Buffing the paint by machine, usually before a wax or a coating. Paint correction is machine polishing that takes out swirls and light scratches; deep scratches may need paint. Outside work covers the paint, wheels, tires, glass and trim.

Booking the work

Photos help: a few pictures of the problem make the quote more accurate. Ask anything about the work in your request; a person answers. You approve the price before we start. Tell us whether the car can be dropped off or needs to be picked up.

On the day

Point out anything you want us to pay special attention to. Tell us about any marks or damage already on the car, so we note them together. Empty the trunk and the door pockets so every surface can be reached.

Looking after it afterwards

Keep the invoice with your records; it helps when you sell the car. Ask us how to care for the work when you collect the car.

Planning around the work

We confirm how long the car will be with us when we confirm the price. Bigger jobs are booked in a few days ahead; small ones can often be fitted in sooner. Most small jobs fit within a day; larger ones are booked over several days.

Pricing, plainly

Larger vehicles take more product and more hours, so they cost more. Older paint or heavy wear can mean more preparation before the main work. Two cars of the same model can need different work, so we quote each one.

A note on distance

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Boulder. At roughly 2,455 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, Boulder is outside our delivery area.

The work happens around Toronto, so the car has to come to us. We cannot send anyone to Boulder to do the work. If you want to check something for Boulder, send a request; a person replies honestly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
