Auto rental: the 2019 Acura RDX Tech

Want to know if the 2019 Acura RDX Tech suits a rental car? Read on. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar.

A note on Java

Java is about 1,639 km from our Toronto location, beyond the area we deliver to. We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here.

If you are near Java, Selby, Lowry and Sitka are close too.

What the specs mean

Its powertrain is the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo with front-wheel drive. It calls for premium gas, which costs more a litre than regular. Front-wheel drive is the usual layout for cars this size, predictable in the rain and the snow.

By the EPA's combined rating of 9.8 L/100 km, 300 km takes about 29 litres. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $171.50.

When the RDX makes sense

It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits winter trips and weekends with more gear than people.

Space, size and seats

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Rent this car

Driver basics

If you are 18 or over and hold an Ontario G2 or G licence, you can rent. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. Cars marked "no credit card needed" accept a debit card in your name; the others need a credit card.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Everyone who will drive signs the agreement after the licence check.

How it works

Choose a car, set the pickup and return times, and send the request. You pay nothing to ask. We answer with a written offer: the car, the dates, the price and the deposit. Only an approved, paid offer books the car.

The photos on a car's page are of that car. The longer the booking, the lower the rate a day tends to be. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

When you know your dates
