Auto rental: grey 2020 Subaru Forester Base in Java

Auto rental: the 2020 Subaru Forester Base

For a rental car, the 2020 Subaru Forester Base is one of many cars on CarmaCars, each with its own page. Every car has its own page with its rates and calendar. You choose the car; a person confirms it and sends the price.

Java and the Forester

If you are starting from Toronto, rent the car here and drive it to Java. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Close by are Selby, Lowry and Sitka, each with its own page.

The numbers in plain words

Power: the 2.5L 4-cylinder; drive: all-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

Fuel use is rated 8.2 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 25 litres. Every 100 km costs about $12.71 in fuel at our price setting.

Best uses

It suits a work trip where a reliable car matters more than anything else. It suits people curious about the model who want to drive it before they buy.

What the Forester is like

It offers the space of an SUV with the height that makes loading easy.

Renting the Forester from CarmaCars

There is no exact match in our fleet today. Request it and we search for one, or take a similar car. Similar cars are below if you need one sooner. A request for your dates gets you an offer from a person.

Who qualifies

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee for each day, shown on each car's page. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

The CarmaCars Protection Plan is priced in your offer by car and driver age, as one of three options for damage to the car. Deposits are listed car by car, so you can compare before you ask. If another person will drive, add them; they go through the same check.

What happens when you ask for a car

You choose a car and your dates online and send a request. Sending it costs nothing. Back comes an offer you can read at your own pace, with every charge on it. If it suits you, approve it and pay. Until then, nothing is charged.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Weekly pricing starts at 7 days, and a trip never costs more than that rate for a week. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.
