Arranging the work for the Altima

For battery service on the 2021 Nissan Altima Platinum, CarmaCars arranges a trusted shop and rents you a car while yours is in. A battery that struggles in the cold is often near the end of its life.

Your Altima and the shop

Mention the trim and engine in your request; parts differ between them. Bring the owner's manual or service records if you have them. A photo of the dashboard warning light helps the shop prepare. Power: the 2.5L 4-cylinder; drive: all-wheel drive.

Who does what

We pass your request to a trusted shop or give you its name. The shop sets the price and the time after seeing the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work.

Car care, briefly

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare.
