Under the hood

The 2.0L 4-cylinder is what moves it, with front-wheel drive. It runs on regular gas. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

The EPA rates it at 7.3 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 22 litres. At our price setting, 1,000 km costs about $113.20.

Living with the Sentra

Its car body is low and settled, with a separate trunk. With 396 litres of luggage space by the EPA's measure, it takes about two large suitcases and a few soft bags.

A good match for

It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Our Sentra cars

If you want this one, say so in the request; we confirm before you pay. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Booking, step by step

Tell us the car and the dates in a request. There is no fee for asking. The offer we send lists the car we confirm and the full price. Approve it and the car is booked; decline it and nothing happens.

Each listing shows the daily, weekly and monthly rate of that car. Trips of 7 days or more use the weekly rate, and shorter trips never cost more than it. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Who qualifies

Every driver must be 18 or older with an Ontario G2 or G licence. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. We need to see the card and the licence of the person renting.

Before the keys change hands, one of three options must be in place for the car: OPCF 27, a card benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
