This 2019 Acura RDX Tech page is written for a car with a driver: the car first, then renting it from us. Winter tires are an add-on on the SUVs that offer them. Chauffeur bookings are by the hour, two hours minimum; send a request and we reply with the vehicle we can offer and the price.

We rent from Toronto only. If your trip to Java starts in the Toronto area, rent the car here. CarmaCars is based in Toronto, about 1,639 km from Java, and does not deliver there.

Specs, explained

Under the hood: the 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo and front-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. With front-wheel drive, the weight of the engine sits over the driven wheels, which helps in winter.

Fuel use is rated 9.8 L/100 km combined, so 300 km needs about 29 litres. At our price setting, driving 100 km costs about $17.15, and a 300 km weekend about $51.45.

As a compact SUV, it sits higher than a sedan, which makes getting in and loading easier.

Licence, age and card

The minimum age is 18, and the licence must be an Ontario G2 or G, valid for the whole trip. There is no maximum age. Drivers under 26 pay a young driver fee each day. Bring the card you paid with and your original licence to the handover.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is never taken when you book; it comes about 1 hour before pickup. We check your licence and identity before we confirm, the same way for every renter.

What to expect when you book

A short online request with the car and your times gets things moving, at no cost. You receive an offer with the price, the deposit and what is included. If you approve, you pay and the car is yours for those dates.

Prices on each car's page are before tax, and the offer adds the tax. Longer trips cost less a day: the weekly rate starts at 7 days. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
