Java and the Q5

If you need it in Java itself, send a request and we will tell you honestly whether we can help. Java is about 1,639 km from Toronto, outside our delivery area.

Nearby places include Selby, Lowry and Sitka.

What the figures tell you

The 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo is what moves it, with all-wheel drive. The turbo gives a small engine the pull of a bigger one when you need it. All-wheel drive sends power to all four wheels, which helps on snow and wet roads; good tires still matter most.

The EPA rates it at 9.7 L/100 km combined, so a 300 km weekend uses about 29 litres. The fuel for 100 km comes to about $16.97 at our price setting.

Good uses for the Q5

Families, skiers and anyone with bulky luggage. It suits anyone who needs a car for a few days, a week or a month without buying one.

Space and size

The higher seat of a compact SUV gives a good view of the road in traffic. NHTSA's Canadian figures put it at 4.66 m long. It fits most condo and driveway spots.

Tell us your dates and we check this car or the closest match. None in our fleet right now; ask and we look for one for your dates. Similar cars are listed below if you need one now.

Getting the car booked

All you send at first is a request with the car and the dates, and it is free. We confirm and price it, and the offer arrives in your account and by email. Offers stay open for 24 hours. Approve one and pay to book the car.

Compare cars side by side by opening their pages. From 7 days, the weekly rate applies; up to 365 days, a trip never costs more than the monthly rate. Pickups need at least 2 hours of notice from the time you send the request.

Renting: the basics

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. Drivers below 26 pay a fee each day of the rental, and older drivers pay none. Bring a card in your name; a card in someone else's name cannot be used.

Every rate includes liability to others. Damage to the car is covered by your choice: OPCF 27, your card's rental benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car shows its deposit, and we take it about 1 hour before pickup. Name every driver in your request, and each is checked before pickup.
